PREVENTATIVE
Cleanings
Maintaining six-month cleanings & exams can help you have clean teeth, healthy gums and fresh breath. These visits help us track your oral health progress and catch any issues before they become painful & expensive.
Periodontal Maintenance
Periodontitis (Gum disease) is an active disease process in your mouth. It is very common and if not treated will result in tooth loss. Periodontitis is also closely related to heart disease and diabetes. Town Creek Family Dentistry is committed to both your oral health and your overall health. Bad breath, loose teeth, stains and tarter build up can be indications that you have periodontitis, and it’s effect on your overall health may not be noticable.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral Cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer affecting our population. It is even becoming more prevalent in the younger population. Oral cancer screenings are done during every exam at Town Creek Family Dentistry.
Sealant
A sealant is highly effective in preventing decay on the biting surface of chewing teeth. Sealants protect the depressions & grooves of your teeth from food particles & plaque. Sealants can be applied quickly & easily. They hold up well under normal chewing and can last several years. Children and adults can benefit from sealants.
Fluoride
Fluoride is highly effective in strengthening teeth and preventing cavities. If our dental team feels you are at risk for cavity development, they may recommend fluoride treatments.
Nightguard
A nightguard is an oral appliance typically worn at night to prevent wear on the teeth. It helps with jaw pain in some cases. It is designed to protect the teeth from grinding and clenching. They are custom made for each patient’s teeth and comfort. Nightguards are especially important for people who have signs of wear on their teeth or have restorations on their teeth; it is a small investment in protecting the longevity of your teeth.
Seattle Protocol
The doctors at Town Creek Family Dentistry use the Seattle protocol to determine which oral appliance is best suited to manage your airway while you sleep. It is also used to determine which occlusal guard, or night guard, is most appropriate. The protocol insures that you do not end up with a night guard that you can’t use, or benefit from.
COSMETIC
Teeth Whitening
The foods we eat and what we drink leave stains that darken our smile. Professional whitening is a safe and affordable way to drastically improve your smile. At Town Creek Family Dentistry, we offer both in-office and take-home bleaching systems. This allows you to choose what is most convenient for you.
Veneers
Can you imagine what it would be like to have a smile with straight, beautifully shaped teeth? This is possible with porcelain veneers. Veneers are thin, tooth colored, custom made coverings that are bonded to the front of your teeth. Veneers can correct damaged, discolored, misshapen, or widely spaced teeth.
Tooth-colored Fillings
A composite (tooth-colored) filling is used to repair minor dental flaws, including cracks, decay and fractures. Because composite fillings resemble the color of your natural tooth, they are practically unnoticeable.
Clear Aligners
Clear aligners are a form of orthodontic treatment that is nearly invisible and can be removed from your mouth for eating and cleaning your teeth. These aligners are a thin clear plastic tray that fit perfectly over your teeth. They are designed for people who want to straighten their teeth but not have wire braces put on. Someone who has clear aligners works through several trays to get the teeth to the desired position. At Town Creek Family Dentistry these aligners are planned and prepared digitally and the treatment is customized to provide the best outcome for our patients.
Cosmetic Gingivectomy
Cosmetic Gingivectomy is the recontouring of the gums to enhance the smile. It’s done in-office, usually only with a laser, as a very minimally invasive procedure with a quick healing time and immediate results. This simple procedure can have a huge impact on your smile. It can make the size of your teeth more symmetrical, and in cases where there is excess gum tissue, it can make your smile less “gummy” and showing more of your natural beautiful teeth!
RESTORATIVE
Implants
Dental implants are the preferred method of permanently replacing missing teeth, and are also one of the most effective ways to stabalize loose or ill-fitting dentures. No other tooth replacement option creates a better, longer-lasting solution than dental implants.
Crown and Bridge
Crowns are used to restore imperfect, damaged or root-canal treated teeth. Both crowns and bridges are used to replace missing teeth and are created out of tooth-colored porcelain materials.
Dentures
If your denture is loose or if you have to use adhesive please come to Town Creek Family Dentistry and let us help you. We use the best labs and take great care in ensuring that your dentures fit properly and are comfortable. The recent advances in dentures are providing implant supported dentures that allow you to eat the food you want and like! This can even be done with your current denture in some cases.
Locator Dentures
An implant-supported denture is similar to a traditional denture. But instead of resting on top of your gums, an implant-supported denture attaches directly to your jawbone using dental implants. Dental implants are tiny threaded posts that replace missing teeth roots. Implant-supported dentures offer improved stability for chewing, eating and speaking.
Root Canal Therapy
Despite the negative connotations associated with root canals, the toothaches associated with an infected root are probably causing you more pain than the treatment will. Without treatment, continued discomfort and loss of the tooth is likely. As decay reaches the pulp tissue inside the tooth, infection will occur and the formation of an abscess is likely. Root canal therapy is a highly successful restorative treatment.
CBCT (3D X-Ray)
CBCT stands for cone beam computed tomography and is a 3D image of the jaws and teeth. It is used for showing the bone level, nerves, sinus cavities, jaw joints, and teeth. It helps with things like implant planning, TMJ evaluation, wisdom teeth extractions, planning for root canals, and perhaps the most valuable benefit of CBCT technology is diagnosing conditions not seen on a conventional dental x-ray.
Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth (3rd Molars) need to be evaluated for every patient to ensure: 1) there is proper space for them, 2) they are erupting into proper position 3) there is enough space to keep them clean. In many cases at least one of these criteria is not met and the wisdom tooth/teeth will need to be removed. Dr. Beeler is very experienced at removing wisdom teeth and is often able to provide this treatment without the use of Sedation.
Extractions
We always practice conservative care and will do everything we can to save or repair your natural teeth. Sometimes, however, conditions in your mouth, ranging from infection to advanced tooth decay, make a tooth extraction the best option for your oral health. There are several options for replacing missing teeth and giving your smile a second chance.
